The parish of Nogueira is a relatively small village, housing around three hundred inhabitants, who live essentially from agricultural labor, as happens in many other parishes, since commerce and industry do not have great representation.
In backward times it even came to be a village, founded in 1080 by D. Afonso VI de LeAPSo, a fact that is still sufficiently confirmed by the existence of his Pillory. It was also Couto of the House of BraganASSa.
